![]() ![]() Yes, wireless can be just as good (and sometimes better) than wired in terms of latency, and Logitech's is the best on the market alongside Razer's at the moment. Wireless vs wired is an age-old debate and in the past few years it's pretty much been settled. No points in favour of either here based on this alone, and the same can be said for most other modern top mice which will all have excellent sensors. Regarding the sensors, there's pretty much no difference besides lift-off distance, which is a personal preference thing - in terms of tracking they both perform so well they're near identical. ![]() They're very light, and since lithium batteries last longer than standard alkaline ones you can use the AAA version (filling the gap with a ball of tinfoil) to save even more weight. ![]() If you're going with the G305 I recommend grabbing Energizer Lithiums if you don't mind not being able to recharge them. There may eventually be a price difference but considering you can buy Energizer lithiums pretty cheap in a four-pack, with each battery lasting for hundreds of hours of continuous use (depending on configuration and settings), it's probably not going to be a major disparity in the long run. Since mice are so close in spec and performance nowadays shape should be the main deciding point here.Īs for the batteries, personally I prefer the G703's internal version just for the convenience (I have a lot of mice charging through microUSB), but the G305 has a longer battery life on a single set. The G305 is small, with an ambidextrous shape and a flatter design, whereas the G703 is right-handed ergonomic with a taller design and a large "hump" in the back. The biggest difference is actually the shape, so it would help if you gave your hand size and grip style (check the sticky thread for examples). However, the HERO is better for wireless mice in terms of battery efficiency, nothing more. The sensors, none is better than the other in performance. It really depends on the usage of course. I myself bought some 1$/4 in a pack Sony alkaline batteries (8g weight) that will last me months. You cant go wrong with any of them.Īs for the batteries, 2-3$ for a pack of 4/6 (4$ for Varta lithium 2 pack) batteries that will last months, i dont see a problem. If you have a chance on trying them before you buy, it'd be best to see which one is going to fit you. You nailed the title and then called the G703 - G307 the whole time for some reason.Īs for the G703, the internal battery is replacable, but it'll last more than the mouse itself eventually so no need to be replaced.Īs for the G305 vs G703, both are great for gaming so dont worry about this.Wireless is the future! It all comes down to shape, as both have very different form/size to each other.
